At "my" café those last few days in La Herradura, I would plant myself at my regular table, order a meal, and continue to witness life in this sleepy little village. I filled Lino in about my excursion to Granada and engaged in discussions about what it's like living here. In seven short days, I began to understand why La Herradura is such a special place in this crazy world. The town has a quiet way of yelling, "Slow down! Life's too short to live it in a blur." La Herradura's a place where family comes first; a place filled with friendly people and rich in natural beauty.
As the Saturday morning sun brightened my condo, I began to pack. Two weeks down, one to go. First though, a final breakfast at Café Bar Califa to say my goodbyes to my newfound friends. A short time later, with a full belly and an open map, I took off for Marbella, the next stop on my quest to live like a local.
