And then Chevrolet took a moment to unveil the 10th generation of the Impala line. After the herd of stampeding animated chrome impalas thundered across the giant screens, the single 2014 Impala sauntered rather innocuously onto the stage.
Even though Chevy went to great lengths to hype the Impala's styling, the design doesn't break much new ground despite moving the car into the 21st century. Under the hood, it has a choice of three engines: the standard 2.5L DOHC 195-horsepower four, the eAssist 2.4L engine capable of 35 m.p.g., and the 303-horsepower 3.6L V6.
