Cutting through turn one, Bruce Rudin's 1959 Porsche 356A Convertible D brought a rear-engined, air-cooled gun to a knife fight. Among the newer cars on the track, Rudin's droptop also hauled a fortunate few up the track as the Grand Ascent's charity (the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) benefitted from the donations.
