The turbine design theme extended to the interior of the Chrysler Turbine car as witnessed by the bladed element at the front of the center console. The Chrysler Turbine Car was a traditional front-engined, rear-rear wheel package. But it was significantly modified as it had no torque converter for the TorqueFlite transmission and coil springs replaced the torsion bars in the suspension system.
