Judges presented two best-of-show awards. Best of Show American went to the 1933 Chrysler Imperial Dual Cowl Phaeton (Page 2) owned by Joseph and Margie Cassini. The Best of Show Foreign was awarded to the 1933 Delage D8S De Villars Roadster (shown here) owned by Jim Patterson, the 2010 Pebble Beach best-of-show winner. Al Gibbins took the People's Choice award for his 1929 Willys-Knight 66B Roadster (Page 6). Eldon and Esta Hostetler drove off with the Most Elegant Car award for their 1937 Railton Saloon.

Lance Miller's 1960 Le Mans Chevrolet Corvette was entered by Briggs Cunningham and driven by the legendary John Fitch at Le Mans, where (with co-driver Bob Grossman) it was driven to a class win. Among the pre-War classics, the show field was graced by a stunning 1937 Figoni et Falaschi-bodied 1937 Delahaye 135M Roadster (Page 8). Owned by Malcolm Pray, the car gives new meaning to the term French curves.

Among the other vehicles to catch the eye of photographer Stephen Williams was Ralph Marano's one-off 1954 Packard Balboa-X two-door hardtop (Page 12), which won the Engineering Excellence Award. Another favorite was John and Lynne Cote's 413-powered 1961 Chrysler New Yorker station wagon (Page 18), which took Best in Class in the American Post-War 1946-1959 category.

The Concours d' Elegance of America is a charitable organization that donates a portion of the net proceeds to the College for Creative Studies, Hospice of Michigan, and Leader Dogs for the Blind. Next year's event is scheduled for 28 July 2013. For additional photographs by Stephen Williams of the 2012 Concours d'Elegance of America, visit the Automotive Traveler/Fotki Gallery.
