coupe, by the narrowest of margins.

Other notable cars included the show's oldest entrant, a 1911 Benz RE LSR owned by Bill Evans, a wonderfully period-correct 1957 Buick Caballero Estate Wagon owned by Alan Goldbarg (complete with matching luggage, picnic set, and original Disneyland decals), and a sleek 1969 De Tomaso Mangusta owned by Fernando Lozano.

The event, emcee'd by Keith Martin of Sports Car Market, benefited the La Jolla Historical Society, an organization dedicated to preserving and sharing La Jolla's rich history, and the Monarch School for homeless and at-risk children. Next year's event is scheduled for 5-7 April 2013. Additional details are on the La Jolla Concours d'Elegance website.
