Automotive Traveler Magazine: 2012 01 Grand Ascent At Hershey Page 2

As I mentioned in Part One of this feature, The Elegance at Hershey is now written in my calendar in pen--the event being my favorite automotive discovery of 2011. The second day of this unique weekend features a revival of the historic Hershey Hill Climb.

Just seven-tenths of a mile in length, the narrow, tree-lined back road up to the famed Hotel Hershey has narrow curves and a 200-foot change in elevation. With its drop-off on one side into a wooded ravine, the course of The Grand Ascent promises as exciting a challenge for today's competitors as for those in the past.
