Clark Kent Goes on Vacation

When you get away from your daily grind, you need a way to get around to the sights. Splurge a little and try something different from what you drive at home. Consider the Cadillac CTS or Infiniti G25/G35 sedans if you're bringing friends or family with you. Some rental companies offer late-model Chevrolet Camaros, Ford Mustangs, even Jeep Wranglers for your use. And a convertible enhances a vacation like no other vehicle.

Sam Says: Why travel all the way to Vegas just to let it all "stay there"? Catch me in Sin City, baby, and I'll be behind the wheel of a 2012 Ford Mustang convertible ($27,310). There's nothing like dropping your top and feeling the sun on your face to put you in the mood to relax and recharge.

Just Not Secure in Your Manhood

Some men can handle the emasculation of owning enjoyable cars such as the Mazda Miata or Mini Cooper, with their high-revving engines and fun-to-drive personalities. And then there are the men who just need to wear their testosterone on the vehicle's hood, announcing to one and all that middle age has forced them to hike their pants up and drive something overtly masculine.

For these folks, there are the old standards in the 2012 Chevrolet Corvette ($50,500) and 2012 Porsche 911 ($79,950). Newly refreshed for 2012 are the BMW 6-Series ($83,875) and the Lamborghini Aventador ($393,695). In any case, the image of your virility is assured from behind the wheel of any model in this group.

Sam Says: Gold chains and hairy chests only cover so much. Given a limitless checkbook, the Porsche 911, BMW 6-Series, and Lamborghini Aventador would all look great in my garage--but there's no need to spend so much money. Chevrolet offers a range of Corvettes from the manly base model through the wind-in-your-toupee convertibles all the way up to the hairy-chested ZR1, with its exposed engine and the undeniable whine of the supercharger. If you need more than that, check your prescription for Viagra because it's run out.
