Automotive Traveler Magazine: 2013 02 Vermont Dog Mountain Page 2 link link link link

Vermont's Northeast Kingdom region and boasts enthusiastic reviews from dog-owners and the dog-free alike.

The Dog Mountain website lists several other dog-friendly lodging options in the area as well.

As Vermont in February is not exactly suited for dining outdoors at one of the local restaurants, I asked McDermott where she would recommend picking up a delicious Valentine's supper after the festivities at Dog Mountain.

Both of her favorites in the area offer take-out meals. Dylan's Cafe "always has a real eclectic menu and everything tastes great." And Natural Provisions Market has a "fantastic deli." A few of the sandwiches from their menu and a bottle of wine from Vermont's Shelburne Vineyards sound like a great meal. They even carry Newman's Own pet products, a favorite with Chaucer and Co.
