On Saturday 2 June 2012, friends and fans of Steve McQueen gathered at Boys Republic in Chino Hills, California, a school the King of Cool once attended, to honor his memory in a fun and festive atmosphere.
Several cars and trucks once owned by the King of Cool were on display, including his 1953 Hudson Hornet (Page 7).
Porsches and both classic and late-model Ford Mustangs were the main attraction on the show field--no surprise considering the actor's close connection to both marques through his films Bullitt and Le Mans.
Also on hand were dozens of production, late-model Bullitt Mustangs (both generations), as well as many tributes to the original Bullitt 1968 Mustang and its companion, with three tributes to the 1968 Charger R/T from the movie.
